Strawn most qualified to promote issues related to area's growth

To the Editor:

The residents of the 66th District in Manhattan need a representative in the Kansas House who will promote legislation that serves their interests. Bob Strawn is uniquely qualified to be that representative.

Bob's prior service in the Army gives him insight into the veterans' issues of today. His successful business background will bring fiscal responsibility to government. He understands the importance of economic development and diversifying our economic base in Manhattan and across the state. He supports Kansas State University's role in educating tomorrow's entrepreneurs, who will develop good-paying jobs here at home for Kansans.

Bob is a great communicator; his listening skills are outstanding. Isn't that what representative government is all about, anyway - listening to the concerns and wishes of the patrons in your district, then crafting and supporting legislative efforts to address those issues? The Manhattan area is the fastest growing region in the state. Manhattan needs a strong Republican leader in the House who understands and can successfully promote the issues associated with that growth.

Bob Strawn is that leader.
