Strawn has budget knowledge

To the Editor:

I know Bob Strawn well, and was very excited to hear that he has chosen to run for City Commission. Dealing with double digit growth, in any organization, requires a specific skill set. Bob's been through it, and has run businesses with budgets as large or larger than the City of Manhattan.

He's not in to growth for its own sake, and his active listening skills are vital to this position. Decisions made by the Commission over the next few years will have a major impact on Manhattan for decades, and we need Bob's financial and management experience as we deal with this.

A vote for Bob Strawn gets this city and its taxpayers the senior management level seat we need on the commission right now. I feel that our current City Commission is a strong one. Getting Bob on board will make it even stronger.
